Update

It's been awhile since I've posted so I'll just give a quick rundown of what we've been up to and post some pictures. My family is insisting I post pictures since it's been awhile, especially for Mary, who returned from her 2 month Africa trip yesterday and didn't have much access to the computer while she was there. She says she's been going through withdrawal from her "nuggets". We've been kinda busy and here's what we've been doing:

Tripp got a new "weedwacker"
We went to the Lake of the Ozarks the weekend before the fourth of July. Good times except our kids did not sleep past 5:15am (I was up with Tripp one morning at 4:15am- not fun). Tripp loved the boat, got to ride the waverunners for the first time (which he of course LOVED), and swam like a champ in the pool. Jack started crawling and pulling up on his knees and was fed by his big brother for the first time (which Jack thought was quite uncomfortable). Last but not least we visited Miner Mikes(http://www.minermikes.livelakedemos.com/)

We were home on the 4th and Tripp was really looking forward to fireworks but it poured rain here so he'll have to wait another year. T.J.'s birthday was 7/6 so we celebrated his birthday and Tripp loved opening all his presents. I'm surprised he got as many presents as he did because it's really hard shopping for someone who already has everything! A shirt or some slacks or any clothing would be an easy present but I refuse to get T.J. any clothes for any holiday because he already has more clothes than me and takes up 2/3 of our closet space with his clothes. I think I'm secretly jealous! I thought the woman was supposed to have more clothes and take up almost all the closet space, right?

On another note something great has happened. Don't get me wrong...I think Jack starting to crawl is a big deal but something even BIGGER has happened...something that changes my life for the better...Tripp is well on his way to being potty trained! This past weekend he just all of a sudden took off his shorts and diaper and started going to the potty and kept doing it ever since. He has been wearing normal underwear ever since, (knock on wood) has not had one accident, and is always (knock on wood again) dry after naps and even in the mornings after sleeping through the night! I think that giving him a couple "potty beans" aka M&M's has helped him want to go to the potty.

Jack went into the doctor yesterday and they weighed him. I mean he is a CHUNKER. He's now 8 1/2 months and about 23 1/2 pounds. I couldn't believe how much he has grown.

Since Jack's gotten older and his looks have matured a little everyone here is saying Jack looks like me and Tripp looks like T.J. Tripp and Jack still look nothing alike.

Update...Just walked into our family room and saw this....

Thanks for putting up new pictures. The kids are getting so big, I can't believe Jack is on the move now.
