First day of school at Rolling Hills
Tripp missed his first two days of school when we were in Atlanta the last time so he started the Friday we returned and he loves it. He goes Mondays and Fridays and loves his new teacher. Believe it or not the Friday class is ALL BOYS...can you even imagine teaching a class of 12 boys ages 2-3?? The first thing his teacher told me was that she took her vitamins!

Tripp loves pumpkins!
Tripp's love for pumpkins started last year.
This year it may have turned into an obsession. He's already made two sets of pumpkin cookies, he was at Hen House (our grocery) the first day they got their huge pumpkin display outside (and had to pick out his "baby pumpkins", made me take several pics of him with the pumpkins, wants to stop every time we pass it), he decorated his own pumpkin at the carnival, he knows his Five Little Pumpkins book by heart, he points them out EVERY time he sees them (they're everywhere) and the list goes on. He wants to be a pumpkin for Halloween but I'm not sure they make the cute little pumpkin costumes in a 4t.

He had a blast at Oktoberfest
We went to Oktoberfest and Tripp had a blast, especially with his cousins Sadie and Tommy. Poor Jack was too small for the rides so got to sit in either my hip hugger or his stroller. Tripp, on the other hand, rode rides, slid down a huge slide with T.J., rode a horse for the first time, decorated a pumpkin, made Sand Art, painted pictures, and got little prizes. He did not take to the upside down roller coaster too well and hated cotton candy (but would not let anyone touch his bucket o popcorn).

Loving to race the plasma cars!

The great outdoors
The weather has been nice here (a little too nice actually I'm ready for the real Fall weather to come) so we've been spending as much time outside as possible. Tripp got his first 4x4 power wheel and he loves it. He can't get enough of it. We are surrounded by kids who drive their little cars up and down the sidewalk so Tripp's day finally came. We found a great deal on Craigslist so we thought we'd let Tripp try it out. Now I will tell you the truth...at first it was terrifying for me to see my 2 year old speeding up and down driveways and making sharp turns and doing 360's (no lie) with our 5 year old next door neighbor Zoe on her power wheel (she drives like a wild 17 year old boy!) and seeing Tripp drive alone was almost as scary. I've gotten used to it over time though. We've also spent a lot of time outdoors with Tripp's friends but have failed to get pics.

Moving onto my little Jack...call him Curly!
Or just Curl...he has one big curl in the back and I'm so proud! We all have straight-as-board hair so when Jack's hair started to curl I thought it was the cutest thing! I don't want to cut it but it seems the back of his hair is the only part that grows (as you can see the front is still very short) so if this goes too much longer I'm going to have a little boy with a serious mullet.

The kid can eat
Anything and everything. We are trying very hard to break Tripp of his picky eating habits and luckily I don't think we're going to have a problem with Jack. The kid eats. He can eat more than my huge pregnant self or T.J.! Ever since we took him down to a night and maybe morning bottle and moved him to strictly table food he's like a bottomless pit! His favorite, though, is CHEESE. After Mama and Dada his next word was cheese, no lie. He will say "mmmm cheese" and even said cheese in his sleep last night. Tripp's obsession is pumpkins...Jack's is cheese. If he is hysterically crying all you have to do is put him in front of a mirror to look at himself or mention cheese and he'll start saying "mmm cheese." It's crazy.

Jack's fun at Oktoberfest
Yep, that's about it!

Jack's fun outside
Again, that's about it...not too much he can do compared to Tripp. Poor guy...you can just look at him and see in his eyes he's going to turn my world upside down when he starts walking!

Physical and verbal Jack
He's not walking yet but getting much closer. He just stands up out of the blue a lot and has taken a step or two from the train table (where he spends most of his time) to the sofa. He cruises all the time and will stand alone at lot but is not yet too interested in walking. He seems to think he can get along just fine with crawling (sometimes on his hands and feet with tush in the air if he doesn't like the way something feels on his knees and he can actually fly while doing this...pretty funny seeing the little baboon move around).

As for words his vocab has expanded since this past weekend. It was just all of a sudden! I think the funniest has been MINE. Yes he's already saying this word thanks to his brother. I don't think he knows the real meaning because that's what he calls trains. Tripp is back into Thomas and friends now, probably because Jack is obsessed with the trains, and always holds the trains and says mine...so now Jack thinks a train is MINE. Jack was standing up with a train the other day saying MINE MINE and Tripp was like "mama what's Jack saying?" Well Tripp what do you think he's saying?! Other than Mama, Dada, cheese mmm, mine, he will say Boi when he sees pictures of my mom, he will say Minnie when he sees pictures of Mary, he says Elmo, Mickey Mouse, I have gotten him to say choo choo, he says bottle, ball, and any simple word like that you tell him and he's also started babbling all the time. It's so funny to hear this little person talk.
I hope everyone has a great day!
