I have to vent....Who here HATES...

the scales at the doctors office?!? (I am raising my hand right now- raising both). I had my 24th week appointment today at my dr's "side office". How is it I weigh myself at home and weigh "X" this morning and then go to the dr an hour later and weigh "X plus 7" (and 6 lbs heavier than the scale at their main office last month)?!? Had I not weighed myself at home this morning I may have had a heart attack at that number. Now if you know anything about me and my last pregnancies you'll know I gained a TON of weight- like close to 70 lbs with Tripp and 55 with Jack- I lost 30 lbs within the first couple days but still...there's excess "baggage"... and I know it's because of my VERY strong craving for sweets during pregnancy. I've tried to be so good this time around for my health and the baby's health- still running around 3-4 miles a day and walking 1 a day, eat very healthy, never sit down because of my other two kids, etc and the dr basically told me today I'm doomed! She said everyone's different and each person generally gains the same amt each time around regardless of what you do (unless you just eat awful all day everyday)...that I'll probably gain around the same I'll just notice a difference AFTER the baby is born with how much better I feel and how fast I can get down to my prepregnancy weight. I'd say I'd like to prove her wrong but considering I've already gained 25 lbs (according to my scales and with about 13-14 weeks to go) I dont really have room to talk!

Aside from the vent we also talked about induction (yes already). Again, if you know me you'd know I have babies that tend to be on the larger side. This time I'm already measuring two weeks ahead. Last time I had an induction date set but went on my own the day before- both times I had them in week 38. Well unlucky for me Dr. Shipman is out of town that entire week and half of my week 39 so she said if this baby is on the larger side like my other two a date will probably be set for sometime around 3/12-3/14 (around 37 1/2 weeks). It probably seems far away to most of you but VERY close to me (I'll be gone about a month of that time to Atlanta then Disney World). So much to do in so little time.

man i am behind on your blogs. first i love the name. so sweet! she is going to be one spoiled adorable little girl. spoiled in a very good way of course. i love that you do date nights with the kids. i think that i would really like to do that as well. i think especially for worth and BellaRose to have that time together will be so important. i want to come see that neighborhood with the lights. it looks awesome. i have to totally agree with you about the scales. i hate them with a passion. i am so glad not to be pregnant and to be weighed every week. i never weigh myself and then to be weighed that much is terrible!

Hey--I had Will at 36 weeks and he was only 6 lbs. Maybe it will be good to have her early? I think it is exciting :) Once your vacays are over you will be ready for the little one! Oh, I haven't listened to your voicemail, yet...bathing takes forever and we are very dramatic about it! Gets it from his father ;)
