The month of December flew by- school was out a lot of the month so we played with lots of friends...
After Christmas, our fam went to the Atl for Gama's 90th birthday party! I hope I am doing as good as her when I'm 90! She had so much fun and looked so happy with about 50+ of her closest family members, and we were all so glad to be part of it! She is such a wonderful person and deserves all the good that comes to her.
A bonus of going to Atlanta was seeing my cousin Hal and his family, which happened to include 5 yr old Samuel and 7 yr old Peyton. Tripp and Jack had a blast with their cousins and Peyton was a very good babysitter to Charlotte! The weather was good enough to cook marshmallows in the fire pit, and the kids loved that. If you ever want to roast marshmallows the ones at Whole Foods, which I think are made especially for that are PERFECT! They are longer and skinnier and just right for roasting!
T.J. left Sunday and the kids and I were supposed to fly home Tuesday morning so my dad and I took the opportunity to take the boys to the aquarium. both boys- especially Tripp- loved it! He could not get over the sharks. He still talks about the aquarium so I think we'll have to make a trip back there next visit. Then Monday night the nastiness started and the boys, along with everyone but my mom and I, threw up...the boys for three days straight and it didn't stop there...so we extended our stay and sadly never got to see any friends (except Tessa, Evie and Bryson at Gama's birthday party)! Hopefully next time we'll get to see everyone!
January has been pretty cold. The boys loved playing in the snow. The kids returned to school, Tripp's played basketball (Daddy was the coach), and the kids have really enjoyed playing together. Tripp is becoming quite the little babysitter and he's always looking out for his "jackie" and "keekee", and what's in their best interest. I am so proud of him. In addition to looking out for his siblings, he cleans the table and the dishes after meals and has become a very compassionate little boy! Jack...Jack's a little nut! He is nonstop choo choos and dinosaurs, and loves playing with Tripp. He is back to school and loving his Miss Lisa. He has got quite the little personality. He's getting tubes put in his ears on Tuesday and we're hoping that will help with the ear infections and bursting of the eardrums! It is so much fun having all three kids so close together- watching them interact and play together all day is so much fun and seeing how they look out for each other or try to make each other happy is so wonderful to me!

Charlotte has been so busy. She wants to be in the middle of everything. She's had Uggs this winter (definitely life savers) but just got her first real pair of shoes- actually two pair...the kind that squeak when she walks (Charlotte thinks it's hilarious) and some little comfy stride rite walkers. She is talking more and understanding alot. She is down to 2 bottles a day and LOVES eating table food. I had to take her to the after hours pediatrics today because of her ears and she weighed 22 lbs...22 POUNDS! That's like 6-7 lbs less than Jack! Crazy. She's mastered pulling up, cruising, sitting down gracefully, etc but has just really started to try to walk. I have a little video of her walking with her stroller...yes, she looks a little constipated (a little trouble bending the knees, the grunting, and a strained face) but keep in mind this was her second time doing it! She is such a joy...always all smiles! Our family has definitely been blessed with such a wonderful baby!
