Fun last weekend

I think the last time I posted was when we were in Atlanta so it's been awhile! That trip was great and we've had a lot of fun since we've gotten back home. We have been swimming a lot at our gym pool- it is so great- our whole family loves it. The gym here opened right before Jack was born and it's got everything anyone could ask for- spas, saunas, great equipment, indoor and outdoor pool with huge waterslides, lap pools, restaurants, kids club, courts...the list goes on. They just opened one of them in Alpharetta actually- it's called Lifetime Fitness and for anyone that lives near one...join. i just signed Tripp up for swimming lessons as well as a sports camp and a preschool day and Jack and I are going to be taking a class on Tuesdays while Tripp's at school. Anyway, so we've been hanging around there in the 105 degree weather here. It is so hot it's ridiculous- reminds me of when we moved last summer. I went outside at 5:30am Tuesday to go running- didn't happen- it was already 85 and by 10am it felt like someone was blowing an extra hot hair dryer on high straight at me.

Enough about the miserable weather...the weather was not as bad last weekend so other than the pool we went to petting zoo and we had a great time- it was safety day so Tripp got to experience the fun of lots of different types of safety vehicles and also enjoyed his favorites at the petting zoo- the sand pit and the splash area. Later that night we went to the T-Bones minor league baseball game- Tripp's first one- and I've never seen him sit so still- it was amazing. He loved it.

The kids also had a great time Sunday night. For anyone out there who ever for some reason ventures to Overland Park and you have a child you have got to go to T-Rex Cafe. It is absolutely amazing and Tripp was in heaven. Instead of Build A Bear he got to Build a Dinosaur (meet Dexter).

They also have a sand pit where kids dig for dinosaur bones and he loved that- T.J. and I didn't exactly join him in that activity since it's $2.50 a head (rip off) to dig. They also have a restaurant and just all sorts of stuff. We all had a really good time there and can't wait to take him back on a rainy day.

Well this week was Tripp's last week of summer school with Miss jane (please excuse the lack of caps...jack tore our shift key off the laptop) and her daughter Miss Georgia. He really loved them and became great friends with several of the boys and a couple of the girls in his class. It was so good to see him so happy at school. Unfortunately he wont have the same teachers again come September but on the positive side I gained a couple of good babysitters!

Well got to run but I will post more tomorrow (Friday). Have a good night/morning!
