Last but not least (kind of like me in high school track)...my 10 things (b/c of Dom's "tag")...
1. My worst fear in the world is not being around to see my kids grow up. I check on the kids every night before I go to bed, re-cover them, and love to watch them sleep (they look so innocent! sometimes it make me cry) and every night I tell myself how incredibly lucky I am to have what I have.
2. Around 7th/8th grade a friend (I'm not naming names but you know who you are) and I used to LOVE dressing up in my little sisters' clothing (4 & 10 yrs younger) and then take polaroids (the swimsuit ones are priceless and the "sexy" facial expressions top it off).
3. I am going to give it a serious honest try to have this baby with no pain medication/intervention whatsoever. Mark my words...and we'll see how it goes.
4. Right around when I turned 15 and/or 16 I did a few not so good things while driving:
a) got 2 tickets at the same time- 36 over on Garmon and illegal passing (still the only two tickets I've gotten to date)
b) ran over my dad's foot- back AND forth
c) turned out of my parents driveway, and proceeded to reach for something on the ground while at the same time not knowing I was turning right and drove through our neighbors "gate" of "christmas trees", knocked them over, dodged other trees in their yard, and ended up not too far from the neighbors front door. I was in the car with my grandmother and am still surprised she did not have a heart attack at the time.
5. I sprained my ankle on JOE while running away from "raiding" another group, didn't realize the path took a 90 degree turn (it was pitch black outside), and ran into a tree
6. Sometimes I wish I lived out in the middle of nowhere on a farm where I could raise my family...no computers, grow my own vegetables, make everything from scratch, etc. I would love to live like some people used to...but this is only sometimes.
7. I am still mad at Mary for winning the cookie bake-off at Bruno's (or was it Ogletree's) grocery store when we were kids. I got second place for my sprinkled scalloped sugar cookie sandwiches (blah) and she got first for peanut butter cookies on a stick with snickers or milky ways inside. She doesn't even LIKE chocolate and if you know me it's all I'd eat if I could so if I'd had the choice that would have been my OBVIOUS pick for my cookie. I guess she didn't even pick or bake those cookies...maybe I should be mad at Mom.
8. The first time I stepped foot on Maui I knew it was where I wanted to be married. My only regret is that none of my friends were with me on my special day.
9. I have brushed my teeth 3-4 times a day ever since Ron Barker (I think that was his name) told me I had bad breath in 7th grade.
10. One of my funniest memories from childhood was when I was at the lake with Megan's family. Megan and I were inside thinking of how to "get her brother back" for some prank he'd pulled on us. It's like a light appeared over Megan's head and she stood up, said "I've GOT IT", ran really fast toward the deck, eventually slamming through the sliding screen door and knocked it off it's hinge and she landed on the floor, sliding along with the screen door, looking very confused. Maybe you had to be there.
